I always utilize this recipe for any self-rising flour recipes--this is the same i that Grandma taught me to apply when I was just start to melt. Why spend almost 3 bucks for a package when you already take the ingredients on hand?

Good but 1 modest fix - have out 2 teaspoons of flour to suit the salt and baking powder, and then you have 1 cup of self rising flour!

Give thanks you for this! I know this may sound silly, only sometimes I forget the ratio of ingredients to apply when I need to brand some of this (because I rarely ever take the need for self ascent flour) This works perfectly and I tin can quickly expect it upward without having to search all over!

I was ecstatic to stumble across this recipe every bit I don't oftentimes need self rising flour, and so do not tend to buy it. I found this recipe on-line a long time ago. It may accept come from here. It works great for recipes calling for self-rising flour. The first time I used it for a beige recipe and it worked well. I don't apply self-rise flour enough to buy a handbag of it, so this is a good quick subtitute.

I've had to toss partial bags of self-rise flour over the years because I purchase them, use a little, and then the baking powder fails by the time I get to the end of the bag. This will help me salve the partial still on the shelf by adding new blistering powder in the right ratio. I'll never buy another bag once again.

This was 1 recipe that was hard to rate because you can't sample it, simply information technology must of worked, i used it in righteous raspberry brownies a new recipe submited to this site( it was delicious) what i did to brand information technology easier was throw all three ingrediants in a plastic container with a comprehend on it and shake it well then i dumped it inro my brownie mixture, a great practical recipe, thanks!!

I am and so happy I institute this recipe! I can't tell yous how many times I've thrown out expired and barely used bags of cocky rising flour. This recipe worked just equally well as the store bought stuff, which I will never purchase once more.

Worked perfectly in Judy's Pumpkin Muffin recipe on this site. I volition never buy self rising flour once again because I rarely use it and ever have regular (or bread) flour on hand. For people who don't bake a lot, this is a real coin saver!

I tried mug cakes in the microwave.The recipy for self rising flour asked for3/4tsp baking powder and a pinch of salt for 1 loving cup flour and it worked well in the microwave.will it work for cakes in the oven.The above recipe calls for ane 1/2tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt for 1cup flour .What deviation will it make.

Wow this is really helpful and works just like the self-ascent flour you can buy in stores. :) Just don't mistake baking soda for baking pulverization. I heard using blistering soda makes the dough saltier.

This self - rising flour works fine. I used spelt flour instead of all-purpose, and it turned out great. Information technology is very handy to have this. Add together it to your recipe box!

Great recipe merely you left out a very important direction. Y'all should always "shake" the blistering pulverisation earlier you measure it. This activates it. Likewise many new cooks make this mistake.

I made this in a pinch realizing I needed self rising flour and did non accept any. Grocery stores rather far for united states of america and then running out for 1 ingredient is actually not an pick. This turned out great albeit I am non to familiar with cocky rise flour. I made mini muffins for my kids and they turned out amazing! I volition definitely make this again insult ownership self rise flour. Give thanks y'all!!
