"Summer of Soul" explores a music festival you likely never even knew existed.

Questlove's directorial debut showcases the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, which took place that summer for six weeks and was largely overshadowed by Woodstock. The event celebrated African American music and culture. Questlove's documentary debuts footage from the festival for the first time.

It won the Grand Jury prize and audience award at Sundance.

Marvel's next movie, "Black Widow," will arrive in July.

The film will take place between the events of 2016's "Captain America: Civil War" and 2018's "Avengers: Infinity War." Natasha Romanoff reunites with some old comrades to take down a villain named Taskmaster.

David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz star in the film along with Scarlett Johansson. Insider correspondent Jason Guerrasio had a chance to see it early and enjoyed it a lot.

Reynolds plays a bank teller, named Guy, whose bank gets robbed multiple times daily. When Guy starts wondering what's going on, he realizes he's a non-playable character in a video game.

Reynolds debuted the first footage for the film at New York Comic Con in October 2019 to a warm reception. Reynolds, Jodie Comer, Taika Waititi, Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, and Utkarsh Ambudkar star.

The horror thriller stars Rebecca Hall as a widow living in the home her husband built for her as she starts having spooky visions and dreams. They lead her to start digging into her husband's secretive past.

"Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" will introduce us to another Marvel superhero.

Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the movie about the Master of Kung Fu who "must confront the past he thought he left behind when he is drawn into the web of the mysterious Ten Rings organization."

Introduced in the comics in 1973, Simu Liu will play the titular character with Awkwafina ("Ocean's 8") also starring. Tony Leung will play the Mandarin. A fake version of the character, played by Ben Kingsley, appeared in "Iron Man 3."

The movie wrapped in October after a four-month filming hiatus.

"The Eyes of Tammy Faye" follows the history of televangelists Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker.

Jessica Chastain told Variety she acquired the rights to Faye's life in 2012 for about $5,000 and will sing in the movie.

Michael Showalter ("The Big Sick") directs the film, starring Chastain, Andrew Garfield, and Vincent D'Onofrio.

"Everybody's Talking About Jamie" is based on the musical of the same name and was sold to Amazon.

The film was pushed back from an October release.

Disney's 60th animated movie will be centered around a Colombian girl named Mirabel.

Disney's 60th animated feature is about the Madrigals, who live in the mountains of Colombia in a magical place called Encanto where each of the children — except one named Mirabel — has been blessed with a power. When the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel may be the only person who can save her family.

The film is directed by Byron Howard ("Zootopia") and features music from Lin-Manuel Miranda. Miranda previously said he had been working on a secret animated Disney project for years.

Peter Jackson's Beatles documentary, "The Beatles: Get Back," was moved more than a year and now will be on Disney+ as a three-part series.

The Beatles' documentary is directed and produced by Peter Jackson.

Disney announced it acquired the distribution rights to the documentary in March 2020.

According to a press release, the film will go behind-the-scenes of the making of the band's album "Let It Be" and their final live concert on London's Savile Row.

The film was made using more than 55 hours of unseen footage that was filmed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg in 1969 and 140 hours of "mostly unheard" audio recordings from the "Let It Be" album sessions.

As of June 2021, the film will now be split into a three-part series debuting on Disney+ in November.

Bradley Cooper stars in Guillermo del Toro's next horror thriller, "Nightmare Alley."

The thriller, based on the novel by William Lindsay Gresham, is directed by Guillermo del Toro ("The Shape of Water"). Bradley Cooper plays a manipulative carny who finds himself entangled with a psychiatrist who's "even more dangerous" than him.

Willem Dafoe, Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, and Ron Perlman also star.

Fox's "West Side Story" is a remake of the movie based on the Broadway musical.

According to Disney and Fox, the film will follow the origins of the independent intelligence agency.

Matthew Vaughn returns to close out the trilogy with Djimon Hounsou and Charles Dance joining Harris Dickinson and Ralph Fiennes.

Domee Shi, who directed the Pixar short "Bao," has been working on her own feature-length film, "Turning Red." The film follows 13-year-old Mei Lee, who turns into a giant red panda whenever she gets too excited.

Insider reported this will be the first Pixar movie to receive a traditional theatrical release again.

The "Doctor Strange" sequel is now coming in 2022.

Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as Dr. Stephen Strange in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness." Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) will be in the sequel, too. The events of her Disney+ series, " WandaVision," will directly tie in to "Doctor Strange 2."

During Disney's investor's day, Marvel Studios' president Kevin Feige confirmed Rachel McAdams will reprise her role in the sequel and announced Xochitl Gomez will join as America Chavez who becomes Miss America in the comics.

The director of the first "Doctor Strange," Scott Derrickson, left the film in January 2020 "due to creative differences." He remains an executive producer. "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi is returning to the MCU and will direct the "Doctor Strange" sequel.

Disney has another live-action movie coming in April 2022.

The live-action version of "The Little Mermaid" doesn't have a release date, yet, but we know this one has been well underway for some time.

Singer Halle Bailey was cast in the role in July 2019. Awkwafina, Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay, Javier Bardem, and Melissa McCarthy also join the cast. The remake will include original songs and new ones from Alan Menken and "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.

A fourth "Thor" movie is coming spring 2022.

"Thor: Love and Thunder" will feature the return of Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie (and the new king of Asgard).

The big surprise is that Natalie Portman will be back playing a female Thor. "Thor: Ragnarok" director Taika Waititi is returning to direct. Christian Bale will play the film's villain, Gorr the God Butcher.

Disney and Pixar have a "Toy Story" spinoff planned for next summer.

Chris Evans will voice the "real" Buzz Lightyear.

Docter explained the sci-fi action-adventure as the origin story of Buzz Lightyear, the fictional hero who inspired the Buzz Lightyear toy we know and love from the "Toy Story" franchise.

The film, directed by Angus MacLane, will show how a test pilot became the Space Ranger, who became a popular action figure.

Chris Evans will voice this version of Lightyear.

Kevin Feige confirmed at 2019's San Diego Comic-Con that "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" is underway. Out of respect for Chadwick Boseman, Marvel won't recast the role of T'Challa.

"To honor the legacy that Chad helped us build through his portrayal of the King of Wakanda, we will continue to explore the world of Wakanda and all of the rich and varied characters introduced in the first film," Feige said.

Disney will release a fifth "Indiana Jones" movie next summer.

This fifth "Indiana Jones" movie with Harrison Ford has been delayed multiple times. It was first confirmed in 2015 after Disney purchased Lucasfilm in October 2012.

Steven Spielberg, who directed the first four movies in the franchise, will not direct the next film. Lucasfilm president Kathy Kennedy confirmed during Disney's 2020 investor day that "Logan" director James Mangold will direct.

Another untitled live-action Disney movie is set for next August. It could be "The Lion King" prequel.

A "live-action" prequel to Disney's very successful "The Lion King' adaptation is in the works with director Barry Jenkins. Hans Zimmer is returning to do the score for the prequel with Pharrell and Nicholas Britell.

"West Side Story" star Rachel Zegler was just cast as Snow White in a forthcoming live-action adaptation of the classic animated movie. Deadline reports that production is expected to start in 2022, with Marc Webb directing and Marc Platt producing.

A release date for the new "Snow White" movie hasn't been announced yet, but it could be the untitled live-action film Disney currently has slated for this date.

A "Captain Marvel" sequel is happening called "The Marvels."

Could this be the long-awaited "Deadpool 3"? Deadline reports a third film is in the works with Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin writing the script. The fourth-wall-breaking character is expected to finally be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A new "Blade" movie could be coming fall 2023.

At 2019's San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige announced Oscar winner Mahershala Ali will star as Blade in a reboot of the franchise.

"Blade" is still undated, but on Disney's comprehensive 2020 investor's day program from guide shared with Insider in December 2019, the film was scheduled between "Black Panther" and "Captain Marvel 2." According to Disney, the films were listed in chronological order.

In March 2021, there was an untitled Marvel movie scheduled for October 7, 2022 that has since been nixed. As of June 17, the October 6, 2023 date is new for a Marvel movie. Previously, Disney had this date reserved for an untitled Disney live-action film.

Marvel's final film of 2023 comes in November.

Kevin Feige announced a "Fantastic Four" reboot is on the way.

Now that Disney purchased Fox, it can make "X-Men" and "Fantastic Four" movies.

During Disney's 2020 investor's day, Feige announced Jon Watts ("Spider-Man: Homecoming") is directing a "Fantastic Four" reboot. This seems far out enough for the new film. The last time we saw Marvel's first family on screen was in 2015.

Disney will release an animated movie for the 2023 Thanksgiving holiday.

Lucasfilm will team back up with 20th Century Studios (formerly Fox) on its next original project.
